New Central Market

Visit the central market of Kota Bahru and you will find yourself immersed in a swirl of colours, sounds and activity. Most of the traders here are women. Chewing sirih or betal leaves, they sit behind their spread of vegetables, cakes and fruits- -haggling, bantering and gossiping at the top of their voices. Besides the usual market produce, you may also shop for other wares such as dried foodstuffs, sweetmeats. There are also many small foodstalls where you may have a snack and enjoy a cup of coffe

Night Market

SHOPPING out in the open, under the stars, makes a pleasant change. Night food stalls, good bargain with quality goods just fits right into your budget. The night food stalls are situated just opposite the main bus terminal and is open from 6pm to midnight, serving a delectable array of dishes.

Songket Bazaar

You may want to visit the Songket Bazaar at kampung penambang, about 4 km north of kota bharu, en route to Pantai Cahaya Bulan (pcb). A beautiful songket with colourful and different type of patterns and motifs will definately make the visit worth the effort.
