Bubur Cha-cha is the one of the delightful desserts. It is thick, sweet concoction of yam (or taro), sweet potatoes, coconut milk and pandan leaves. originally, it's another nyonya delight.


when choosing yam, the lighter the yam the better. When buying, ask the vendor to slice a small piece of the yam for you if it's possible. If the yam leaves a powdery subtance on the knife, the yam is good and will cook easily. Sweet potatoes come in varieties and colours.. So, you may mix and match as your taste buds dictate. A mixture of several kinds of potatoes will make the Bubur Cha-cha looks more tropical.
