Bubur Cha-cha
Bubur Cha-cha is the one of the delightful desserts. It is thick,
sweet concoction of yam (or taro), sweet potatoes, coconut milk and
pandan leaves. originally, it's another nyonya delight.
when choosing yam, the lighter the yam the better.
When buying, ask the vendor to slice a small piece of the yam for
you if it's possible. If the yam leaves a powdery subtance on the
knife, the yam is good and will cook easily. Sweet potatoes come in
varieties and colours.. So, you may mix and match as your taste
buds dictate. A mixture of several kinds of potatoes will make the
Bubur Cha-cha looks more tropical.
Bubur Cha-cha can be found at the nyonya restaurants
in town or at the stalls. You can get the Bubur Cha-cha with just
1.50-2.50 ringgit malaysia per bowl. Don't miss this delightful
dessert !!
