Cendol
Cendol is served in a small bowl full of tiny chunks of ice mixed
with rich coconut milk and pandan flavoured jelly made from the
extract of crushed pandan leaves and flour. Cendol is sweetened
with a thick brown colored syrup made from palm sugar (gula enau or
gula Melaka). There are many variation for Cendol desserts offered.
Some Cendol is served with shaved ice, red bean paste with rich
coconut milk.
You can easily find Cendol served in a small stall
along roadside barely 5 tables and every afternoon, customers will
packed up the stall. A bowl of Cendol costs rm1.00 and it is
perfect beverage during hot day.
