Kuih Talam
One of all-time favourites is Kuih Talam. It looks like Seri Muka,
but the Kuih Talam is not using the flavour of kaya.
Kuih Talam has a two-layer cake appearence which
creamy whitish top and greenish or brownish jelly-like bottom. the
saltish top is made from coconut milk.
You can find this delight at most of the hawker
stalls, available in two kinds either cut into diamond shapes or
placed on square pieces of fragrant banana leaves or just sold in
small serving bowls.
Kuih Talam can be served for breakfast, tea-time or
even supper. it goes well if served with a cup of hot drinks. to
get the best taste out of the Kuih Talam, be sure to bite into both
layers simultaneously so that the sweetened bottom will blend
delightfully.
