Roti Tempayan
Roti Tempayan is normally cook in tempayan (earthware jars), but
for habsah yaakob from kuantan, she does not use the tempayan to
cook her bread. All she need to do is heat the dough on a hot plate
for two minutes and it was ready to be eaten. As for the
ingredients, flour, shortening and spices are used. The bread that
she made are special and commercial to be sold during fasting
month. She has been selling the bread at nights markets for the
past two years. Roti Tempayan that she sold is cholestoral-free as
no cooking oil was needed to bake it. She could sell up to 100
pieces daily at rm2 a piece with gravy and rm1 without gravy. Those
who are in kuantan could drop by to her stall and taste the bread
yourself. |
