Pottery
the Aw Pottery near Air Hitam has long been a favourite with both
local and foreign tourists. Its brick kiln, built to a chinese
design, is 48 metres long and produces around 2,000 individual
pieces of pottery at each firing. The minangkabau showroom displays
a wide variety of pottery for sale. Visitors are welcome to wander
through the studiobehind the showroom to watch the potters at
work.
