National Mosque
The National Mosque is visible from the Railway Station, has folded
umbrella-shaped roof and minaret measuring approximately 75 metres
in height. Occupying about 7 hectares of prime land in the heart of
Kuala Lumpur, the mosque took three years to complete and was
officially opened on august 27, 1965. visitors are required to
observe a certain decorum upon entering the mosque, such as
removing their shoes and wearing special robes provided at the
entrance. |

National Museum
Jalan damansara, Kuala Lumpur. Located in the fringe of taman tasik
perdana (the Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens), the National Museum is the
principal museum in the country. It was set up in 1963 to serve as
a repository of malaysia's rich cultural heritage and as the centre
for imparting knowledge on the country's historical past. The
various galleries housed within the museum provide Interesting
insights into the country's development. They are the Historical
Gallery, Metalwork and Musical Instruments Gallery, Cultural
Gallery, National Sports Gallery and Natural History Gallery .
Facilities include a conservation laboratory, a library with More
than 6,500 titles catering to researchers, students, and
individuals in the field of archaeology, ethnology, natural history
and other similiar disciplines, and a photographic studio
containing slides and negatives on various subjects of Interest to
the museum. Thematic exhibitions are held from time to time. On the
museums grounds are static displays including old locomotives,
vintage cars and a replica of an ancient Malays palace. .Open from

Planetarium
Located within the scenic grounds of Lake Gardens. Tourist may
visit the Space Theatre, Space Science Exhibition, Resource Centre,
Viewing Gallery, Ancient Observatory Park and the
Theatrette.
Open from Saturday to Thursday from 10am to 4pm.
Break at 12.45am - 1.45pm

National Science
Centre
Located at Jalan Bukit Kiara, features a walk through aquarium and
countless hands-on exhibits. Educational interactive
experimentation stations provide entertaining experience in science
and technology.

Parliament House
Standing on elevated ground commanding a panoramic view of the
serence lake gardens, is the Parliament House whose foundation
stone laid by the yang di pertuan agong in 1962. The 3-storey main
building and adjoining 18-storey tower block house the two houses
of parliament, a banquet hall, a library, various offices and
committee rooms. Visitors may view parliamentary sessions by prior
arrangement with the authorities, who will advise on protocol and
dress code. |

Petronas Twin Tower
Petronas Twin Tower is the tallest building in the world 451.9m
high. Designed by architects cesar pelli & associates. A
skyline links both towers at the 41st and 42nd level. Number of
storeys are 88. |
