A Famosa (Porta De
Santiago)
A Fomasa was built by the Portugese conquerous in 1511 as a
fortress. Surrounded by stone walls and boasting four towers, it
was the strongest fort in the region. During the Dutch attack, the
fortress was badly damaged. In 1670 the Dutch repaired and embossed
this fortress with the "voc" chest above the gateway witch still
can be seen today. With the invention of Sir Stamford Raffles in
1808, he saved the old gateway from destruction. |

A'Famosa Water World
A must stop for the family. The massive amusement park is based on
water. Anything you can thing of doing for fun with water is here.

Alor Gajah Museum
Exhibots will help visitors to journey into the past and visualise
the amazing stories behind the district of Alor Gajah. The district
was the site where Naning war was waged. There are also exhibits on
the cultures of the Malay, Chinese and Indian.
