This peaceful tropical island, touched only by history, lies just a
short boat ride from Malacca. The unspoilt natural beauty and sandy
beaches are ideal for a day of swimming, fishing, snorkelling and
picnicking. Visitors can explore the island's fascinating history
where legends surround its many 'keramats' or sacred graves. The

Middle East about 700 years ago. The island was once an anchoring
point for ancient ships before Malacca was founded and is one of
the five islets called 'Wu-Shu' used by Chinese navigators as
landmarks in the Ming dynasty. The 3 nautical miles boat service
