British Graveyard
British soldiers died in Naning War fighting Dol Said and his men,
were buried at the graveyard as a mark of respect for their
gallantry. |

Bukit China
In 1459, following visits to Melaka by the famous ming admiral
cheng ho, the emperor of china gave parameswara, the first ruler of
Melaka, official chinese protection. In late 1459, the emperor sent
his daughter princess hang li po to marry the reigning sultan
mansur shah. Her entourage consisted of 500 ladies in waiting and
the sultan gave her Bukit China of chinese hill for their
residence. Today, Bukit China with 12000 graves taking up 25
hectares of land, with many of the tombs dating back to the ming
dynasty, has the distinction of being the largest chinese cemetery
outside china. |

Butterfly Farm
The Butterfly Farm contains More than 150 exotic species of
tropical butterflies including the raja brooke and birdwing. It
also boasts of its own laboratory which is the first of its kind in
southeast asia and second in the world. In addition to about 9,000
butterflies, it also houses miniature houses, snakes and an insert
garden. It is also a favourite place for family gatherings.

Cape Rachado

Cheng Hoon Teng's
Temple
The oldest Chinese temple in the country. It was built in 1646 with
materials shipped out of China. Fine workmanship is evident in the
ornately decorated mythological figures, carvings and lacquer work
inside the temple. |

Christ Church
Standing exactly as it has always been since 1753, the church is
testimony to Dutch's architectural ingenuity. Take note of the
church's handmade pews, ceiling beams constructed without joints,
Brass Bible, tombstone written in Armenian and 'Last Supper' in
glazed tiles. |
