 The Grand Old Lady - Well No.
1
Situated on the top of the Canada Hill, the Grand Old Lady is the
first oil well in Malaysia. It represents the petroleum history of
Miri which is almost a century old. This oil well is no longer in
production and it has been declared a protected historical site by
the Sarawak Government. There is an observatory platform where
visitors can have an excellent view of Miri. |

 Visitors Information
Centre
The Visitors' Information Centre is located in the mini garden next
to Park Hotel and bus terminal. It was built by the Sarawak Tourism
Board to promote tourism in Miri and to provide information and
services to tourists. You can get free information leaflets for all
