Hotsprings
Located in the hulu Selangor district, the Hulu Tamu Hotsprings is
often visited by locals.hot water from the underground springs is
believed by some to have medicinal value, especially in cures for
skin ailments and rheumatism. A visit to the Hulu Tamu Hotsprings
will also bring the visitor through some of the traditional
villages in the state as well as rubber and oil palm plantations.
During the fruit season, visitors could buy various fruits from the

Orchards
Experience the natural beauty of Hulu Tamu Orchards in hulu
Selangor district, where hundreds of tropical fruit trees are grown
in an orderly manner. The best time to visit these orchards is
during the fruit season - rambutan, durian, mangosteens, mangoes,
langsat, ciku and many other local fruits. Here, visitors get the
opportunity to pick the fruits and help themselves to the delicious
harvest at a reasonable rate. Accommodation is also available to
allow visitors to experience the tranquil countryside atmosphere.

 Jugra
Once the seat of ancient kings, the placid town of Jugra has
several fascinating hostoric buildings. The sultan allaudin mosque
was erected in 1932, but it classical moorish architeature has
given it a timeless, mystical look. The intriguing istana bandar or
town palace features exquisite woodcarvings by sultan allaudin
reminiscent of the previous century. The royal mausoleum, the Jugra
lighthouse and the ruins of the legend-shrouded old palace are also
well worth a visit. |

 Kampung Kuantan
Fireflies
Just outside Kuala Selangor town is the quiet hamlet of Kampung
Kuantan, site of one of the largest firefly colonies in the world.
The nocturnal tours are extremely popular, with boats hired at the
jetty and handicraft complex. Lifejackets are provided, and the
skilled local oarsmen make this experience a memorable and
unforgettable one.
