Sekinchan
sekinchan is a little town in the middle of the main rice-bowl area
of selangor, in the sabak bernam district. Visitors are able to see
large plots of land cultivated to produce the staple food of
malaysians. This area is also well known for its mechanised farming
methods and high yield of rice. A visit here provides the
opportunity to see the sweeping green or gold (depending on the
time of the year) fields of paddy reaching out clear to the
horizon.

Semenyih dam
semenyih dam, located in hulu langat district, provides one of the
most breathtaking sights in the country. The dam, which was built
in 1985, supplies a major portion of drinking water to the klang
valley population. On a clear day, visitors can see the reflection
of the magnificent hills and sky in the still waters of this dam.
Towards evening, the breeze causes slight waves and ripples, and a
sensational sunset is mirrored on the water surface.

Shah alam lake
gardens
one of the premier attractions of shah alam is its lake gardens,
which is the green lung to the town centre. The lakes are divided
into three sections - west, east and central.

Shah alam sports
complex
awarded the "1996 best sports facility in asia" award, the shah
alam sports complex features one of the largest and most dynamic
sports and and entertainment complex in south east asia.
state-of-the-art facilities and a professional management team
ensures that all events held here will be successful.
sasc comprises the 70,000 seat shah alam stadium, an adjacent
warm-up track and training field, a 12,000 capacity air-conditioned
indoor stadium, an olympic standard swimming and diving centre and
an international level tennis complex.
it also hosted the final match of the junior world cup '97 soccer
tournament.

venue, sasc has successfully hosted many major and prestigious
international and local sports events, concerts, cultural shows,

State monument
located adjacent to the selangor state secretariat in shah alam,
this lovely and serene state monument with a sweeping arch,
reflecting pools and gold inscriptions on gray granite is a
favourite hunting ground for shutterbugs, newlyweds and tourists.
This is due to its picturesque setting.
the annual warrior's day (selangor state level) celebration is held
here to honour warriors who have died in serving and defending the
