Dup
The dup, its origin is from South Malaysia. Dup is a double-headed drum and is cylindrical in shape. It is usually used in the Ghazal and 'Gambuh' performance. To produce a good sound, goat hide is used. The dup is hit by using hand or hitting equipment which is wrapped with soft cloth. Dup is famous among the Malay community in Johor. The word 'dup' was originated from the onomatopoieac system.
